Hot lunch is served for our residents:

Every Tuesday Noon to 1pm  Hosted by Maxie and Friends. 

Every Thursday 11:30 to 12:30 Hosted by 1st United Methodist Church.

Every 3rd Saturday 1 to 3pm  Hosted by Rivers at Running Water.


Hot Breakfast is served:

Every 3rd Saturday 9 to 11am Hosted by Liberty Christian Center.

Every 4th Saturday 9 to 11am Hosted by Maxie and friends.




GED Preparation Class - Adult Education Learning (AEL) Lab - Killeen

Purpose : Adult education and literacy programs provide English language, math, reading, and writing instruction to help students acquire the skills needed to suceed in the workforce, earn a high school equivalency, or enter college or career training.

Population Served: Individuals must be at least 16 years of age and not enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school under State law. Additionally, they must meet at least one of the following criteria: (1) be basic skills deficient; (2) not have a high school diploma or its equivalent; or (3) be an English language learner.

Resident Services

Referrals

When a resident doesn't know who can help Ms. Janice Taylor, KHA's Resident Service Coordinator should always be the first stop. She is able assist with filling out forms. Providing referrals to outside agencies or advise on which agency would best suit your needs.  

Self Improvement Programs

Financial planning, GED prep, parenting and many more classes that are geared toward enhancing adult experiences.

Feeding Programs

Our summer feeding program is currently being hosted at the Moss Rose Community Center.  Breakfast is served from 8 to 9 and lunch is served from 12 to 1, Monday thru Friday. Our Summer Feeding Program is open to KISD students 18 years of age or younger.

Computer Lab

Our Computer Lab is open for the summer to our children. It is located at our Moss Rose Community Center. Computer Lab is open: Monday Thru Thursday 9 to 5 and Fridays From 9 to 1. Google Boxes have been added.

Workforce Solutions

Workforce Solutions of Central Texas components are designed to promote the delivery of programs and services to meet the needs of business, industry, and workers. Central Texas College

 All CTC adult education GED preparation classes and services are offered free of charge. We do not charge tuition or fees, and all necessary materials are provided for you.

Furniture For Families

 Our MISSION is to gather gently used furniture and provide it to those in need free of charge as referred to us by our Collaborating Partner Agencies. KHA residents must request a referral from the Resident Services Coordinator, call 254-394-4653 or email rskha@hot.rr.com.
