KHA staff and residents are grateful for all the hard work that has been done on behalf of the Hyde Estates Project. We could not have achieved the December 29, 2017 closing without the concerted team effort of Housing Solutions Alliance, R4 Capital, Home Federal Bank, Quintero Engineering, Killeen City staff and boards. We cannot forget to thank Coats Rose, Ft. Worth HUD RAD team and our RAD Specialist for sharing their advice, expertise and overall support in ensuring this deal went smoothly for our Housing Authority.
We are expecting to break ground sometime mid to late January. As soon the details are available we will post them to our site.
The first units will be ready for occupancies in July 2018. The current residents of Moss Rose will be the first to occupy the beautiful new residences. The RAD program has been instrumental in changing and expanding Affordable Housing opportunities for Public Housing Authorities throughout the United States. The Killeen Housing Authority is proud to be amongst the first Texas Agencies to convert its aging stock of public housing to the Project Based Voucher model. We are now able to use various forms of financing such as tax credits and private financing to create a modern amenity filled community.
